Toys Carry Childhood Joy, Sharing Resources to Spread Love

Toys Carry Childhood Joy, Sharing Resources to Spread Love Toys play an important role in children's development, helping them explore the world, cultivate creativity, and develop social skills. However, for many families, purchasing new toys can be a significant expense. To promote resource recycling and reduce waste, Pampers and Watsons will launch the " Joyful Childhood Sharing Program " from March 21 to April 10, 2025, encouraging families to donate unused toys. This initiative aims to give second-hand toys a new life and support the parenting needs of underprivileged families, allowing more children to grow happily with the companionship of toys while also considering environmental protection. During the campaign, customers who purchase Pampers products worth $999 at Watsons' eShop will enjoy a one-time free toy pickup service*. After the collection, participants will receive an electronic certificate from the "V Cycle Education Foundation." Pampers will also donate $5 worth of diapers for each transaction to the "加減乘除基金," delivering products to families in need, providing essential care for infants, and spreading more love.

According to the Environmental Protection Department's statistics on municipal solid waste disposed of in landfills in 2023, thousands of tons of plastic toys are discarded in Hong Kong each year^, placing significant pressure on the environment. The " Joyful Childhood Sharing Program " not only reduces waste through reuse but also ensures that the collected toys are cleaned and donated to community charities for distribution to underprivileged children. This initiative not only preserves the value of toys but also provides more children with opportunities to explore the world. Pampers will also donate part of the proceeds from this event to support the V Cycle Education Foundation's public environmental education efforts, fostering the next generation's environmental awareness and empowering them as key guardians of the Earth. Eric Swinton, founder of the V Cycle Education Foundation, stated: "Every toy carries the joyful memories of a child. Through the Joyful Childhood Sharing Program,' we can transform this childlike spirit into blessings, supporting babies from different backgrounds in their healthy growth. This initiative not only reduces the burden of discarded toys on the environment but also alleviates the parenting pressure faced by underprivileged families." Pampers and Watsons believe that toys can become blessings, with every act of sharing brightening a child's smile. We invite families to respond to this initiative, recycle their unused toys, and together spread joy while preserving the essence of childhood!
