P&G Hong Kong has been awarded the Hong Kong Environmental Excellence Award for nine consecutive years
P&G Hong Kong has been recognized with the Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence for the ninth consecutive year, receiving a merits Award in the service and trade sector this year in recognition of the group's contributions to promoting sustainable development and active practices in environmental management! The Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence is sponsored by the Environment and Conservation Fund and organized by the Environmental Campaign Committee, with the Environmental and Ecology Bureau and major chambers of commerce in Hong Kong co-hosting it. It is one of the most credible environmental awards in Hong Kong.
Environmental measures that are comprehensive both internally and externally, encouraging enthusiastic participation from consumers
Among more than 3,000 participating organizations this year, P&G Hong Kong successfully ranked among the 200 awarded companies, demonstrating its proactive measures from local operations to promoting waste reduction across various sectors, echoing P&G's global promotion of sustainability. Sustainable development goal "Mission 2030".
P&G Hong Kong has integrated more sustainable environmental elements into its office operations and systems, including the use of LEED-certified facilities. The company has implemented recycling and eco-friendly measures in the office, such as a food container recycling program, and organizes environmental activities and educational workshops for employees to cultivate their environmental awareness, promoting green citizenship responsibility from within the company.
In addition, the brand also cooperates with retail channels to encourage consumers to participate in environmental protection actions in daily life. For example, in response to the Hong Kong government's rechargeable battery recycling policy, its brand Oral-B launched an electric toothbrush battery recycling program, which received enthusiastic participation from consumers. Baby care brand Pampers has collaborated with Watsons to launch the Tree Preservation Campaign since 2021. Over the past three years, they have planted over 10,000 mangrove saplings in Southeast Asia and have worked with the World Green Organization to protect local native tree species, planting nearly 400 local native saplings in areas such as Sha Tau Kok, Tai Lam Country Park, and Jiu Tsui to continuously conserve the natural environment and maintain biodiversity.
