WHISPER and WATSONS HONG KONG Partner for the 7th Year to Break Menstrual Misconceptions and Support Girls' Confidence During Periods

A global survey by Whisper’, a brand under P&G Hong Kong, revealed that over half of adults still feel hesitant to openly discuss or hold stereotypes about menstruation. These taboos not only restrict girls from expressing themselves but also impact their physical and mental well-being. This year, Whisper joins hands with Watsons Hong Kong for the 7th year in the "Like A Girl" campaign, aiming to inspire Generation Z girls to comfortably talk about their periods in their own way. From October 30 to November 26, with every purchase of $50 worth of Whisper products at all Watsons stores and online, Whisper will donate $1 worth of Whisper products to Inspiring Girls Hong Kong*, alleviating period poverty on vulnerable communities and enabling women to confidently embrace periods!

Whisper #LIKE A GIRL Enters its 7th Year Encouraging Generation Z Girls to Be Comfortable Being Themselves

Since 2018, Whisper has been working with Watsons Hong Kong in the #Like A Girl campaign, starting from encouraging girls to dream without fear of gender stereotypes, to providing scholarships to encourage girls to enter STEM fields, to last year's focus on menstrual equity, aiming to dispel misconceptions surrounding menstruation and draw attention to period poverty in Hong Kong.

The public often holds biases against women during their menstrual cycles, assuming emotions like instability, anger, overeating, or laziness. These stereotypes not only disregard the discomfort and emotional changes women experience during their periods but also force many to suppress their natural emotions and feelings, affecting their mental and physical health. Whisper collaborates with post-2000s internet celebrity Agnes Yue to create social media short videos, encouraging the public to view menstruation as a normal physiological phenomenon. They also inspire girls to comfortably live with periods in their own ways, enjoy things they love during menstruation, and show their usual confidence. Whisper continues its partnership with Watsons Hong Kong and Inspiring Girls Hong Kong (IGHK), from October 30 to November 26, with every purchase of $50 worth of Whisper products at all Watsons stores and online, Whisper will donate $1 worth of Whisper products to Inspiring Girls Hong Kong*, alleviating period poverty on vulnerable communities and enabling women to confidently embrace periods!
